West Feliciana Hospital is a new healthcare facility that replaced the existing 1960’s era facility, and brings the to the rural community state-of-the-art critical access care.
This joint venture project provides medical care to the surrounding community and easy access to patient services. This state-of-the-art hospital features an emergency room with 8 treatment rooms, 12 private inpatient beds, outpatient diagnostic areas, chapel and a cafe style dining area. The facility is equipped with the latest in technological advancements including: electronic medical records (EMR), telemedicine, high tech data & low-voltage systems, and security.
As you drive up to the hospital, the 2-story lobby entrance catches your eye and provides an abundance of natural light into the seating areas providing a soothing environment. The entrance glass tower is wrapped with an image of a stately oak tree that is silk-screened to the glass as an ode to the natural beauty of the area.
The efficient layout of the facility provides ease of access for the patient and efficient workflow for the staff. The emergency area provides 6 universal exam rooms with 2 large trauma rooms. The outpatient diagnostic areas include imaging services such as General Radiology, CT scan, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine. A dedicated area for women’s imaging include Mammography, Bone Density, and 2 Ultrasound Rooms. A Minor Procedure Suite is provides for endoscopic cases, and other non-sterile minor procedures.
